The day before your child’s scheduled surgery, a nurse will call you with general instructions on preoperative fasting guidelines, medication management, and to answer any questions you may have.  It is important that instructions regarding preoperative fasting and medications be strictly followed for the safety of your child.

For procedures at Norton Children’s Hospital-Downtown patients and families will be registered on the ground floor and are asked to arrive 90 minutes prior to their scheduled surgery time.

For procedures at NortonChildren’s Medical Center-Brownsboro patients and families should arrive 45 minutes ahead of scheduled surgery time for patient registration on the first floor.

For procedures at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital-St. Matthews patients and their families should arrive 60 minutes prior to their scheduled surgery time on the first floor.
